The ultimate travel platform.

Tripple is a collaborative travel-planning app designed to simplify how groups organize trips together.

Planning travel with friends often means juggling scattered conversations across group chats, shared documents, and email threads — making it difficult to keep everyone aligned and involved in the process.

Tripple centralizes itineraries, schedules, bookings, and inspiration into one shared platform, allowing travellers to plan experiences while staying organized from departure to return collaboratively.

The Problem

Group travel planning is rarely linear. Coordinating flights, accommodations, activities, and schedules across multiple people often results in:

  • Fragmented communication across platforms
  • Conflicting preferences and availability
  • Disorganized travel documents
  • Decision-making fatigue

Many existing tools support individual trip planning, but few are designed with collaborative planning as the primary user need.

Tripple was created to explore how a digital product could reduce planning friction while making each traveller feel included in shaping the trip experience.

Project Goals

  • Create a centralized platform for collaborative trip planning
  • Ensure all travellers feel involved in the decision-making process
  • Reduce pre-trip stress through intuitive organization tools
  • Encourage memory-making through shared planning experiences

My Process

This project followed a four-stage UX and brand development process:

  1. Design Brief Proposal
  2. Market Analysis & Design Exploration
  3. Concept Development
  4. Brand Identity & Product Design

✦ Stage 1: Design Brief Proposal

Tripple was developed as a conceptual product, beginning with a self-initiated design brief outlining:

  • Project timeline
  • Deliverables
  • Product goals
  • Budget considerations
  • Proposed design process

Establishing these parameters created a realistic project scope and allowed the design process to mirror a real-world client engagement.

✦ Stage 2: Market Analysis & Design Exploration

To better understand the needs of group travellers, I conducted research into:

  • Target user behaviours and motivations
  • Industry trends within travel-planning platforms
  • Competitor products
  • Geographic travel patterns
  • SWOT analysis

From this research, the primary target audience was identified as:

Travellers aged 23–38 who frequently plan trips with friends or family and value shared experiences, cultural exploration, and social connection.

Key user traits included:

  • Adventure-driven
  • Experience-oriented
  • Socially collaborative
  • Planning-motivated

See how research and early visual exploration guided the foundation of Tripple’s user experience.

✦ Stage 3: Concept Development

Based on research insights, three distinct brand and product directions were developed.

Each concept explored different approaches to:

  • Collaboration within group planning
  • Information hierarchy within itineraries
  • Visual tone of the travel experience
  • User engagement through destination tracking

After evaluating each concept against user needs and project goals, one direction was selected to move forward based on its ability to balance:

✔ Organizational clarity
✔ Collaborative functionality
✔ Experience-focused design

Flip through to see how initial ideas evolved into strategic design directions.

✦ Stage 4: Brand Identity & Product Design

The final stage involved developing a cohesive brand identity and applying it across the Tripple mobile app interface.

Core features of the platform include:

  • Collaborative itinerary building
  • Shared scheduling tools
  • Destination research
  • Centralized travel documentation
  • Experience tracking through location stamps

The final product was presented through high-fidelity mockups and an interactive prototype to demonstrate real-world functionality.

Experience how the final interface brings collaborative travel planning into one centralized platform.
